hi all, I have a timber cabin which has an asbestos cement roof (corrugated panels) which appears to be intact, both internally and externally. at the moment I'm not looking at replacing it, although probably will want to in the next few years. I'm just wondering if it's generally safe to work in the loft space, or should I avoid going up there. I've had a look round the loft and the panels don't appear to be damaged as far as I can see. the loft is very dusty but this appears to be from a build up of cobwebs, spiders, bird nests etc. I wore a dust mask when I was up there - rewiring lighting; I've read a lot online about ac panels not being considered dangerous as long as they're in sound condition but would appreciate some advice on this.
looking ahead - is the removal of these panels likely to be straightforward; i.e. could any competent roofer do the job?
cheers!
