i quereied this regarding a sofit, most said not to worry, i would still be inclined to change it
by all means change it, but as long as any breakage is kept to a minimum, the risk of removal is very slight. The asbestos used in fibre cement is the least dangerous of the three, and unless cut with a grinder or sanded down the risk of the asbestos particles becoming free is fairly low.
