Asbestos in this wallpaper?

Hi there,

My house has a textured wallpaper up the staircase. Do you know of any asbestos risks with these types of textured wallpapers? The paper is old — perhaps 80s or earlier — and the filling appears to be polystyrene or something similar.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Look's like a standard blown vinyl paper. Maybe put a match to it as asbestos in wallpapering was for fire resistance.
Only way to tell is get it tested

I think I am going to get it tested.

From what I have read, this sort of wallpaper isn't the most commonly associated with asbestos, but I have worked myself into a stew enough that it's probably best to spend the 30 quid for peace of mind.

Yeah. I think you wont find its got asbestos in but spend the £30 to be sure.
I found some tack in a loft I thought was asbestos but it burnt. I think it was paper insulation treated with fire retardant but gave me sleepless nights.
