ASKING FOR HELP FROM AN ELECTRICIAN/ENGINEER SOLDERING A MICROSWITCH WHICH WIRE GOES WHERE

Hi all
I have a mobility scooter which suddenly stopped working. The soldering from one of the wires in the brake micro switch had come away.
I have ordered a new 3A/250v micro switch which has 3 pins. I think I need to solder onto the 2 outer pins. What I need to know is which wires do I solder? Stupidly I walked away from it for a couple of days then totally forgot what wire went where! Please see photos attached. I’d be so grateful for any advice. I cannot get out very far without my wheels. Thanks, Emma xx
Oh, I have spread the wires to show them clearly if we say number 1 is the one I’m pointing to…to number 4 at the other end. Thanks again x

I'm curius, where does the "electrician engineer" bit come into it?

Please also give some more information.
What is the motor make & model number? It should have a data plate on it or some markings.
What make/model scooter is it from?

What make/model is the microswitch? (They are usually common closest the lever, then N/O then N/C furthest from the lever.)

I am asking for help from an electrician/engineer, I hope that resolves your curiosity on that part.
The scooter is a sterling sapphire 2 I don’t know the year. I will add some more photo’s showing the brake model & micro switch number. I do hope you can help. It’s a 3A/250V 3 pin switch. Nothing goes in the middle pin, I need to know which wire goes into which end. Thanks so much

If you have obtained a similar switch and there are only 2 wires and you know which pin was not in use...
Then it should not matter which of the wires go to which of the 2 pins.

Are the new and the old switches marked with 'COM' 'NO' 'NC' ?

Might not work out for you if you've bought a normally open switch

Obtain a replacement switch that is normally closed. It doesn't matter which wire goes into which port

If you cannot find a suitable replacement switch just try operating the scooter with the wires not connected. If it doesn't go, join the two wires together. One of those two configurations will cause the scooter to think the brake is off.

Well done, they can be difficult to read. It won't make any difference which wire you put on C or NC.

Thanks so much I have tried everything today. I bought some spade connectors. The scooter still isn’t turning on I’ve changed the fuse but still nothing. Thanks for you help with the micro switch I appreciate you taking the time to reply x

Have you checked the batter/y/ies? Do the lights come on?

Hi batteries are fine. Nothing is turning on at all now. I had the motor and electromagnetic brake all working I went to take it outside and it stopped within seconds. I turned it off and it hasn’t turned on since. I checked the wiring on the electro brake and one of the pins had snapped off. I’ve tried reconnecting but nothing. I’m so gutted as I desperately need my scooter. I’ve been quoted £950 for a new brake. Gutted. I’d only just bought the scooter second hand
