can anyone give me an idea about deciding when it is advisable not to spend money getting a car through its mot? How do you know whether you are throwing good money after bad? I thought it may cost about £400 and have been given a quote of approx. double that. I don't know if this is ok or not?
Its an S reg. with about 84000 on the clock.

What is the going rate for labour when working on a vehicle?

thanks for the labour rates site and idea of cost. My astra is a 1.7tds and used to be a great car - obvious wear and tear etc but now faced with bill of £800......better the devil you know etc?
