ive got a r reg astravan the problem is that it struggles to start in the mornings,also when its been running. ive changed the fuel filter and the heater plugs but still wont start .
The van starts after a while kicking out a lot of fumes has anyone had this problem or can help me out thanks.

what sort of mileage is on it? if you have trouble with cold and hot starts you may have air being sucked into the fuel system by maybe a loose or perished hose

Check the voltage and time of voltage to the glow plugs. If they're only coming on for a few seconds then the relay is probably at fault. Should be on for around 15 seconds (ish)
