hi all just a quick question iv got a couple of upvc windows to fit in my garage just wondering do i need to run a bead of silicone across bottom of window before i screw the sill on or just screw it straight on many thanx nathan

We always use a bead of silicone, a lot of window fixers do not.
It helps prevent 'reeding' (annoying whistling sounds on windy days).
It is better placed towards the inner side of the sill and not towards the outside, as this can interfere with the water run off drainage channels.
