Hi,
I experienced a loss of acceleration a while back and had the diagnostic check done, the results were 3 error codes all related to the EGR valve not working.
After some searching I decided to take the valve off and give it a good clean with white spirits but this did not make any difference at all.
However while I was removing the anti shudder valve to get to the EGR I noticed what looks like an elastic band sticking out of the side of it. I have since put the car back together but wondered if anyone knew what this is as it didn't look right to me. I am wondering now if the anti shudder valve is making the EGR valve not work correctly, is that possible?
Any help would be appreciated thanks
