Audi tt v500- soft top

Hey

Just brought an Audi TT (soft top) and there is a flashing light on the dashboard for the roof.
Does it mean i haven't closed it properly?
Although i've opened and closed it several times now and can't see whats wrong.
There is no draft coming through so it does seem closed to me.
Or could there be some sort of electrical fault?

Would appreciate any advise/help

I would certainly recommend you return this one to the seller, and ask them to sort it, if you can - these sort of issues don't lend themselves comfortably to DIY!
Anyway, what happens is, the roof catches operate a micro switch inside the catch housing, and theoretically informing you that the roof is indeed closed. Sometimes the catches bend the switch, and prevent it operating correctly.
So, there is every chance that the roof is secure, but its best to make certain - the glaring lamp is a bit unsettling, anyway!
I'm talking BMW experience here - presumably Audi are similar - and its the catches above the windscreen that give the most bother.
