I have bought these downlights and I’ve been testing the installation and removal on a piece of scrap plasterboard

https://www.downlightsdirect.co.uk/...VVwQK5fZdDDf0kveqRBuSnEnPbrB4JRxoCLC8QAvD_BwE

The instructions recommend a hole between 65 and 70mm and I’ve used a 68mm holesaw

The problem is that, while the downlight stays well in place, it’s impossible to remove without damaging the plasterboard

With a 68mm hole the springs are very close to the edge

I’ve tried a 76mm hole which is 6mm larger than what the manufacturer suggests and I still struggle
