Awkward bath tap fitting

Due to replace my current bath (standard size, taps at one end) with a shower bath (wide section at one end). The tap position for the new bath is half way along the wall side of the bath. I can anticipate some cussing and swearing whilst trying to connect the flexi connectors to the fixed pipework due to not been able to get to that side of the bath when its in position....
Can anyone suggest any easy methods for pipe connection in such a situation please? I saw some extra long tap connectors at my local Wickes last night (about 2 foot long) - has anyone any experience of using these?

I,ve fitted several of these baths bath Ideal Standard "Space" and Bathstore's "Freedom" but these have the taps on the panel side.

When fitting taps along the wall edge I fit the taps and connect two 22mm copper pipes that drop down and then bend under the bath towards the panel side. The bath can then be positioned and connected to the supply which is run above the floor wowards the front of the bath.

Make sure you test the pipework before fixing the bath and tiling as you don't want to pull it out again if your tap connectors leak.

I have a similar problem. I have used 500mm flexis and designed everything so the bath can be pulled out enough if required. The only thing that will suffer will be silicone beading. I have had 1 faulty flexi (from Screwfix) but no other probs since.

I find the small internal diameter of the flixi connectors can ristrict the flow on gravity systems so prefer to use 22mm all the way to bath taps.
