I am looking at electric patio awnings to stop the sun being directly in our eyes at the dinner table late in the day.
I have had a quote and another by phone both almost £1700 for a 3 metre wide one.
Looking at Diy (Primrose Awnings) they come out at around £800 for a full cassette model.
Now I have no idea about quality of either option but £900 to drill four holes fit brackets and one for the cable, then put the plug in seems a rather large mark up!
Has anyone fitted one of these, is it as simple as it looks, given lifting into place will be double handed please?

Thank you for any advise.

It's as simple as it looks. Ensure you use good solid fixings as they are heavy and get it plumb and true and they are not hard to fit.

Thank you, think I may have a go, got a couple of healthy son-in-laws to call on if needs be!(y)
