[b]Dripping noise in radiator[/b]

Particularly at night, in one of the bedrooms, the radiator sounds as though it is dripping quite loudly. However, there is no water coming out. Please help.

does it coincide with the boiler going on and off?

Not that i know of. I never touch the boiler, I just leave it to do its thing!

I have this problem, and it does coincide with the boiler going off; I've always assumed it was just the pipes contracting as they cooled and making a sound like dripping. Am I wrong, and is it anything to worry about?

no idea. Never noticed it before but it is suddenly really loud and obvious and seems to be too noisy if you know what i mean.
I may call a plumber ...
