Hi
Can anyone tell me the legality of removing rainwater from neighbouring premises.
Why ?
Next door neighbour had a cowboy (flashband kid) build a 'sort of' conservatory in his back yard and he put up a gutter to run the rainwater away from the existing kitchen roof (which used to drop into the drain) and the new conservatory roof. Trouble is the water doesn't go anywhere now, it drops onto a hardstanding (which the cowboy built aswell and got the fall to run towards houses ) and the water just soaks into the walls as it has nowhere to go. My neighbour said he would look into, it but he's 70 and lost the plot. Does he have a legal obligation the remove this water or am I going to have to do some twilight drilling?
All advise welcome
