Hey folks,

Need some advice.

I'm trying to sort out the drainage of the down spouts at the rear of the house.

Firstly, we have no surface water sewer here. Only foul at the front.

I started to dig a soakaway, however at 1m deep I'm in grey / blueish clay. Did a water test overnight, and I'm pretty sure the level hasn't budged a mm. It's just sat on the clay:

Obviously, I could try and dig deeper and hope to break through the clay, but failing that, what other options do I have?

I would dig through another 1/2 m see if you passed clay , maybe not !, put some 3/4 pipes at the base in the sides of hole to allow water to spread out,
it give a better soak away if you could.

I was lucky I had pure sand at 6 feet down.

mine 6x6x6feet
