I have just moved a huge wardrobe and the hardboard back has popped out of the grooves.

Anyone got any top tips to get it back in without having to dismantle it? It's the last thing I want to do - it could well be the end of me :(

Tip it on its front and slide in? Climb ladders depending what room you have between ceiling and wardrobe and slide in, with it being slightly bent, straightening as you insert.

If you have done the same as me, you will have compressed so much into it that the back bulged out
There’s a chance that the bulge is still there to a degree, so increase the bulge (with a helper) and see if it will go back in.
If this works, press the back in again to expand it into the grooves.
Just maybe, if you spray the inner sides with polish or whatever, the back may oblige more.
Be lucky!
John :)

It's 7 feet tall so I've only got about a foot between the top and the ceiling and emptying it would be, err, a challenge lol. Like Burnerman confessed, it's got so much in it that it's bulged. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't half the top, one side and half the bottom. I shall try some gentle persuassion. It's nearly killed me trying to move the sodding thing
