I am attempting to Backfill my Worcester Boiler using the Key. I push the key right up then turn to open. Then I turn the white plastic square nut at the side, anti- clockwise as instructed. Why am I getting water coming down/ out? instead of the filling up noise?. I know I am operating the Key and Nut correctly as I have double checked on You Tube.

If you are inserting the key properly, there must be something amiss ,seal missing maybe. Show us a pic of the key.

I am pushing it right up where the grooves become no longer visible

It should be locked in place once turned, and shouldn't pull out unless it's turned first. I don't think you are fully inserting the key.

Put the key in ,applying light upwards pressure ,whilst rotating the key. When the locating tabs line up inside the fitting ,it should go up a little further. At that point it will rotate a little to latch the tabs in place.

Thanks! All done now. It took a bit of pushing with my crooked arthritic fingers but was obvious it went right in when I heard it. I've left it in now, permanently!
