Dear forum members
New member here.
New house came with very nice looking en-suite shower. But installation was apparently sloppy.
The shower outlet is so poorly fit that it sits ~8mm from the tiles and no amount of silicone is ever going to ensure a tight seal. I'd like to remove and repair or modify it but I am not familiar with the fittings. Nor am I particularly experienced with plumbing.
I include a photo and wonder if anyone can either identify the fitting or, if I'm really lucky, point me to a common solution.
Additional point, if you wiggle the fitting in the photo, it moves, implying the pipe work behind isn't particularly well fixed in place.
All assistance (and any corrections on forum etiquette) well received.
Many thanks, Phil V
