Hello , I just had a newly laid Marshall’s Indian sandstone for 5 weeks now . At the moment there are around 12 slabs that have movement. About 3 weeks ago the builder came back to re-laid 9 loose ones . Surely this it’s not normal for the slabs to have movements already?? I only had problem with my old patio after 10 years. There are also some uneven ones. The resins looks so rough and messy.it just looks like sand put on top. And it’s so difficult to scrape off.
There seems to be a few slabs that looks like damage but the builder said it’s like that because it’s a natural stone . Shouldn’t the 4 corners be square?
Also the raised bed was build over the manhole drainage. When we had all that rain the water did not drain . The was a puddle. And now I find out he has built it on the concrete base. He did not dig it out . So there are no drainage at all. That’s where I had my old paving.
I was charge for 2 tons of screen topsoils for £150 and it had lots of small/big stones and nails and broken pots .
I was so looking forward to my new patio . Its making me very upset .
Any advice what should I do? They were supposed to come to sort out the issues 2 weeks ago but they are saying they are busy. Will try to fit me in next week
