Hi,

Replacing a 1400 rad with a 1300. Wanted to do it myself but excuse my french its becoming a major ball-ache.

Got a - Adjustable Radiator Valve Tail Union Type. Easy I thought. But the Union connector is ½", so it won't fit onto my existing pipework.

The Adjustable-Radiator-Valve looks great and would do the job, but I cannot find one to fit my existing pipework. Could I use a reducer, without having to cut pipe, etc. If so which would I buy, I can't find the right one.

Please help... agh... or should I just get a plumber out to do it properly, drain system and put in a thermostat !!

cheers guys

TBH longer tails to a radiator always look sh*t. I haven't used those adaptors you are talking about, but heard they leak in due course.

Why don't you just have the pipework modified below and do it properly. As you say, it may be time to call in a plumber?

htgeng,

Thanks for the reply. Yep it makes sense that they eventually leak. Being lazy because I didn't want to drain down the system myself.

Time to get a plumber in,

cheers
