Hi all,

Before I start I just want to say im not to literate on what each thing is where the problem is so I will try explain as much I can as to what they are as i go along.

In my house there is a boiler (i think it is) called an Apollo Myson or vice a versa.

When i turn this on, the flame fires up but after about 10 secs there is lots of loud bangs coming from the pipes above it which lead to the main hot water tank upstairs.

If left on, the boiler turns off and keeps trying. I have never had it on longer than this so im unsure what will happen after this length of time.

If anyone can give me some advice on how to fix this problem i would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance for any help

Michael

Right,

How stupid this sounds...

I have sorted the probelm 2 mins after posting the original problem!!

What was wrong was that someone had put some clothes ontop of the hot water tanks and un plugged it!!!

Now the CH and HW work fine!

Thanks anyway!

Michael

I would have suggested your pump had stopped. But I haven't a clue what the clothes did to cause it

Hi,

The clothes fell and un plugged the pump from the mains.

Sounds stupid i know!

The pump should be connected to the ruddy boiler, not a plug in the wall
