Worcester Bosch CDI 35 - heating off, used for hot water for shower - water off and boiler making a loud deep rhythmic banging noise (don't know how long it been doing it cos of noise in shower).
Turned off boiler noise continued - loosened vent on top - lots of air came out ...and noise stopped...seems fine since...
Has had an external expansion tank fitted...
Any ideas what that was all about and should I be worried?
