hi guys
hoping to get some advise about basement refurbs in london and use of materials.
first task is uneven concrete floor that needs tiling over, up here in the north we would use self level compound but not sure about in the south and whether its suitable for conditions. condensation or damp due basement location. if damp bathroom would only last mths rather than years and years as im sure you know. which is the best way to establish which it is.
collegue and owner thinks its condensation as last tennent never opened a window or nothing to ventilate etc. if damp do you guys use tanking over concrete floors.
walls are also to be tiled over which has blistered paintwork and peeling paper again damp or condensation through out.
