basin mate problem

Fitting a new basin blight a basin mate because it wouldn't seal

Now following the instructions and everything as it should be the foam white washer that goes topsode between waste and basin just won't seal al all

Any tips?

Chuck the foam washer away, and use a nice bead of silicone.

Throw basin mate away, I don't use it.

The correct way to use plumber's putty and poly washer. I only used silicone on silly design basins.

Managed to sort the issue
Uses the basin mate but alto used the thicker washer topside that came with the waste

So far no leaks hot or cold and the basin is still full and not in the bucket underneath

Always the first thing I do when fitting a basin. Unscrew the back nut and chuck the foam washer in the rubble sack.
