Trying to replace the cold and hot water compression flexi pipes (with isolator valves) in the bathroom basin. The new ones are 15mm x 1/2" x 300mm which seems to match the length of the old ones (fitted by previous house owner). I'm finding it very difficult to replace the cold pipe without putting a kink in it. The hot water one seems to be ok - see photo (although the angles is still fairly tight). Is it best to replace the old olives with new ones. I'm not sure if I should try and go for longer flexi versions - 500 mm to try and avoid the tight angles (not sure if this would work or not).

Just out of interest, why change the ones that are there, they seem fine, WRAS approved and good quality?

The nearest one in the photo is 1 of the new ones. The cold water pipe is the one I'm struggling to replace due to the kink. I'll try 1 of those angled valves to see if I can get a better fit.
