I currently have something like this: https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Bath-Pop-Up-Waste+Overflow---Chrome/p/161897 installed on my bath. Thing is when I'm away my house is rented on Airbnb and whenever I come back there's anew problem with it (turning mechanism comes loose, and more recently somehow the seal wasn't tight so led to overflow water leaking through the floor). I've tightened the seal and even now when it overflows a few drops are escaping, should I order the same again, or is there something that's a bit more fool proof and hardy I should use?

Mine did the same,I cut it back and secured with a jubilee clip on the overflow hose
Ditch it and just use a plug on a chain instead. Plus (if the overflow had worked loose) take it off, clean the joint faces, maybe replace the sealing washers and do the jubilee clip on the hose
