Bath Panel - Advice

Hi folks,

Needs some advice as to what I can do with this bath panel; can I just replace the bottom wooden bar with a new one, as you can see it's bent. The main wooden panel seems to be intact.

Reluctant to use plastic side panel, as people tell me they're filmsy and easily cracked.




The bath is used as a shower and heavily used, as users climb on to the bath tub, to use the shower or even have a full bath, which is rare. I am scared the water might leak to lower ground flat.

Seems intact?? The main wooden panel looks rotten to me and looks like it will fall apart when you take it off. The bath panel will play no part in stopping water leaking into the flat below. Just get a new bath panel and the top and bottom will both be included.

Looks like tongue and groves to me, which can be replaced, but getting the correct size can be awkward, might be better off with new. As for bottom “bar”, yes it can be replaced.

Looks a tad rubbish that. I'm not a fan of plastic bath panels mainly because of their ridiculous cost....is the place yours or rented? If rented then get the landlord to sort it, if yours then I'd replace those wooden slats, won't cost a fortune and will look a million percent better

That's a goosed MDF bath panel. The most useless invention that's ever been attached to something that is always getting wet.

It'll never be right so bin it and buy a new panel or make one out of 12mm WBP plywood and paint it.
