Bath/shower mixer tap

Hi folks,

I'm new on here and I'm straight in with a problem already!

We have a mixer tap on the bath with a shower attachment. We had a really good flow out of the shower head until this morning when there was only a low flow which then descended to a dribble after a few seconds. I switched the lever over to the tap setting and found the same problem with the flow there too. All the other hot water taps in the house have a good steady flow and the cold tap on the mixer is working well too.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Not too keen on having another basin wash tomorrow morning!

if theirs a filter on the tap try taking that out and cleaning it.

Hi

I took it apart tonight and as soon as I took the washer out, there was grit and gunge which fell out of it. I just cleaned it and worked the tap unconnected for a while to free it up and it all seems to be working fine and dandy again.
