Our bath, a Carronite Torino, has taps and shower hose on the rear side, with the front panel and the side shelves (not visible on the picture) tiled. The shower hose has split and so leaks water downstairs.

Is there an easy way to replace the hose, or do the tiles around the bath need to come off to create access to the underside of the bath?

The shower fitting does unscrew, but I don't fancy unscrewing it too much in the event the bolt underneath drops out.

Solid brick, approx 300mm thick at that. So no access from behind unfortunately. My conundrum is whether the whole bath will need to be pulled out, or whether access from the side or front panels could be enough?

The moral of this story - never, never, never fit a bath with the taps against the wall on the long side. Especially with a shower hose that will need replacing. Just crazy!

Seeing as it's a solid wall you will have to take the bath out, you might as well change it for a decent bath while it's out as well
