Hi,

I need a need bath tap mixer. Looking on screwfix website most of the widths are 226 or similiar. I measured the distance from the middle of each tap to the other and it's only 180. Should I be looking for 180mm tap mixers only?

Thanks in advance

Matthew

Most (but not all) bath deck mixer taps have 180mm between the centres of the hot and cold inlets. If this is what you have now, its what you need for the replacement.

The 226 you have will be the overall width of the mixer and not the tail centres.
standard bath tap hole centres are usually 190mm ( 7½" ).

Arh I see. Whats the point of using the 226 measurement then if the 180 is standard? Thats confusing. So basically, most of what I see should be ok.

+1 most if not all look for 180mm pipes centres.

Lok further down in the specs, a lot have pipe size = 180mm, still not the clearest though o_O
