Hi.

So since I've moved into my new property my bathroom had a few leak issues.

Just when I thought I'd fixed it all I'm still getting a leak from the bath tub waste.

The leak is coming from just under the rim of the white connector which fits to the waste on the bath tub. I put some ptfe tape on the thread and tightened it and it has only slowed down the leak.

What can I do next ?

Thanks

That link returns a 404 error but description sounds like it's the right thing!

Chances are it's leaking past the little rubber seal on the trap fitting that's been over compressed. Spend the little extra for the McAlpine fitting, better quality and money well spent. Make sure the trap fitting onto the bath waste is very square when tightening and don't over do it.

....

I'm going to get the McAlpine fitting and will check to make sure it's square.

Thanks

If bath waste terminates into soil & vent stack a shallow seal trap shouldn't be used.

That drip should be the least of your worries..state of it..
Industry gone to the dogs for sure..

It's a bit 'round the houses' than needed really. A shallow trap is an A typical DIY setup of a bath on a wooden floor, a lot of baths set in without leaving space to get a 50/75mm trap so a low level trap is what's normally used. Steel's correct, could do with a bit of a re-pipe and see if the bath will accept at least a 50mm McAlpine bath trap. Oh and unless the bath water is to exit the trap and then turn left at that swept Tee and come towards us and not out through the wall, then you need to turn it around the other way by the looks of it.
