Bathroom catalogues

What is the score with the bathroom catalogues when you choose a bathroom fitter he gives you a catalogue to choose the items you want for your bathroom refurb but I have seen a few identical catalogues inside with just a different company name on front and everything inside the same.
The prices in these catalogues look generally very expensive when you compare them to like for like online prices such as Victoria plumb is this just away of charging higher prices for bathroom refurb ?

Hopefully it is so he can make a living without resorting to massive labour charges. Ask your plumber/plumbers for estimates for you supplying materials & them charging labour only & with them supplying everything. Then you need to know exactly what materials you need not just the sanitary ware.

But bear in mind if you supply the and any of the fittings fail he'll charge you to come back and repair/replace.

The quality of Victoria plumb is shocking though, that's why it's so cheap
