Bathroom Extractor Fan Ceiling Wires

I am installing a new Manrose fan in the bathroom but the wires coming from the ceiling are:

Brown
Black with some blue tape around it
Grey with some brown tape around it

Im generally competent when it comes to stuff like this but im a little baffled.

On my Manrose fan I have:
1. Nuetral
2. Switch Live
3. Live

I dont know what connects to what.

Brown would be live (3)

Black with Blue tape would be neutral (1)

Grey with Brown would be switched live (2)


this is guess work, you would need to double check this with a multimeter

I have just done somme reasearch on the Wiki, it looks like I have a 3 Core and Earth (3 CE) wire coming from the ceiling but it does'nt tell me where what is what wire...

It doesnt seem to have worked, but I am wondering if there is a feature where it wont switch on if you havent replaced the cover...
