Hi, hope you're all keeping well.
We're having the bathroom ceiling boarded and skimmed next week but want to get the wiring sorted for an extractor fan to be fitted.
The light fitting is accessible from the loft, but the switch is under some boarding that's a bit of a pain to be lifted. Is it possible for the extractor fan to be wired solely from the light fitting, without having to be wired to the light switch? We'd actually prefer a fan without a timer, that switches off when you turn the light off, so I'm hoping that simplifies things?
Being a DIY novice I'll be getting an electrician in to do the work but it'd be good to know how easy it's likely to be before booking them in.
Thanks in advance for your help.
