Dear all,

Your advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a Manrose bathroom extractor fan that turns on when the light is switched on and over runs as expected when the light is switched off. Recently, the sound of the fan has changed. When the light is on it sounds like it is revving up and down, compared to an even sound when the light is off. The fan is about 7 years old and I appreciate that it is likely to be a budget model.

Any ideas of what might be going on here?

Many thanks in advance.

dear all,

Thank you for replying. I will need to replace the extractor fan unit. What better quality brand would you recommend as a replacement please?

Thanks.

Dear foxhole,

Thank you for the recommendation. Xpelair, it sounds like it does what the name suggests and I like that.
