HOW MUCH WOULD A BASIC BATHROOM FITTING COST? EVERYTHING STILL IN THE SAME PLACE, JUST REPLACING OLD FOR NEW, MOVING A SOIL PIPE TO THE CORNER ( WOULD HAVE A BEND) AND HANGING A TOWEL RAIL ON WALL???

Around the Wolverhampton area approx £250 labour plus any materials needed as there is always some fittings to be changed :)

Fitting my bathroom myself has so far cost me about £50 in bandaids and about £150 in the swear box :)

£300 plus all parts plus replastering, plus tiling if required, plus shower.

I was charged £450- supposedly £250 labour and 200 parts! does that sound right for parts, he said the soil pipe stuff is expensive ( some next door neighboor eh!)

:D
thankyou for all your replies. I think I will be spending out on swear box and plasters when I do down stairs loo!!!

someone once said if something feels too cheap it probably is.... if you want a pro (you know the type, insured, taxpayer, competent etc) to come along and do a proper job of replacinga bathroom you are looking at £150 a day, and a typical job will take between 5 and 15 days depending on the amount of tiling etc........ I've done so many jobs where the householder tried to save £ and it ended up costing more....

our bathroom took about 2 1/2 days new toilet, "sink" & bath, , tiles all round (tiles we got 'cos of pattern / colour) cost £2k, oh and mixer shower

bedfordshire, but the price was for labour , shower and all of suite

It is surprising how the small things add up. I am redoing my bathroom next month and finished pricing up today. Spending just £300 on a suite (including taps and wastes) but then spending what I calculate will be at least £400 on shower pump, mixer valve, flooring, tiles, paint, lighting, plumbing, etc. etc... And that doesn't include buying any tools that I might find I need (only been diying for 2 years, haven't had time to build up enough of a collection to do everything yet!)

If you were to get it done professionally and add labour costs it soon becomes huge. Sounds like Breezer might have got a bargain there!

I've done a bathroom and the materials are expensive, they all add up. Roughly 50/50 labour to materials. I reckon the price is OK.

Well, Dolphin have quoted me c13K for 2.5 bathrooms - replace all components and re-tile including moving one internal doorway in a partition wall. Any local (Surbiton/Surrey) people interested in giving a quote then feel free to get in touch.
