Lo all, I'd appreciate some advice if you can, on something.

I was going to put low voltage downlights in my bathroom, using a kit I bought with 3 downlights and a transformer, suitable for zone 3.

To let you understand, I want to put theses light in a row down the centre of my bathroom, however the center line is within 60cm from the edge of the bath, however I figured it was still ok, because the height of them would be over 2.25m when measured from floor. Further reading however, indicates that this vertical measurement should be taken from the bottom of the bath, which would mean my ceiling is only 2.1 from that point, thereby putting the proposed location of the lamp in zone 2, thus rendering the fittment of my purchase inadvisable, i guess.

Question would be does anyone know of any low voltage lamp kits, complete with transformer, suitable for zone 2?

I have checked screwfix, but all i can see is seperate lamps, transformers come seperate. Whilst this may not be the end of the world, I'd rather know if there was a kit(much like my zone 3 purchase), which had the lamps, bulbs, wirning and transformer altogether.

Thanks for your time all, and any advice or websites mentioned will be greatly appreciated. :)

Try contacting the mfr of your current kit to see if they have something for Z2.

There are plenty of other suppliers - try a specialist lighting company, not a general purpose online shed..

It's certainly not the end of the world - the transformers that come with kits are usually rubbish. Buying separately allows you to get good quality ones.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help :)

One thing that I may be getting hung up on though, is the zoning. I have been looking for lights that states specifically "suitable for zone 2", but unable to find them. I have seen other "bathroom" lamps which are rated to ipx4. Are these ok for zone 2?

Thanks again
