Bathroom lighting

I would like to replace the existing mains voltage ceiling light in my bathroom with four 50W halogen downlights. Two of the lights are within zone 1.

I have purchased the lights and a transformer for each. They are:

The transformers come pre-wired on both the low voltage and high voltage sides. The lights are connected via a terminal block. I have not added any wiring on the low voltage side.

My question is: Can I perform the installation myself? I understand that any work carried out in the bathroom is notifiable under Part P. However, the transformers will be in the loft and I am connecting to an existing supply.

Can I perform the installation myself?

Yes, if you are confident and knowledgeable enough to do it safely.
But to keep within the law you must notify your Council first.
Whether you choose to do so is up to you.
I understand it is also the law not to drive a motor vehicle over 70mph, and we all know how well observed that law is.

Unfortunately, that makes no difference, it is still notifiable.
