Ideally you'd come off the lighting circuit for it to be less confusing, as long as the fittings and any cabling you put in is appropriately rated, you probably won't need to put a fused spur in, assuming the lighting circuit is a traditional 6A one. Fused spur from a ring main is also fine if that's easier, but as I say personally I'd prefer to go for the lighting circuit.
Do you know about zones in bathrooms, and what can go in which zones, and what ratings they have to have etc?
Also, if in England or Wales any electrical work in a bathroom is notifiable to your LABC under Part P before carrying out any work...
