Bathroom Paint - help!

Hi all
new to this forum and new to decorating... just bought my first house.

I was just wondering whether bathroom paint was necessary or can normal paint be used? I have just bought Dulux Matt paint in blue for the bathroom, and now I am thinking maybe I needed a special type. I see on another post in here (2005) someone said that maybe the silk version of normal paint is ok but not the matt one. Or do I definitely the special bathroom paint?

Well bathroom paint is really an acrylic eggshell, vinyl silk would be fine and I would advise against the matt.
