Hi All, hopefully someone might be able to help.

Usually I am pretty good, and take a photo before I do anything, this time I didn't and it is biting me in the ass.

Bathroom pull cord snapped completely from inside the switch, undid it, and in my head it was all brown cables in one terminal (Com-L), blue (L2) in the other and earth on it's own. Simples. I was mistaken..............

Replaced with a 10AX 2-way pull cord switch. When I wired it up as above, the lights came on, fan on, mirror working - but pulling the cord didn't turn the lights off......the fan has a small delay to come on and power down. I don't remember leaving things long enough to see if it went off.

Currently I have put live feed and what I identified as the mirror cable into a wago so we can at least use the mirror - it has it's own integrated motion switch. Ignore where neutral is in the photo, was just so it wasn't floating around. The rest is the fan, and lights.

Who can tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

I don't think you have a neutral.
The pull switch is just that, a switch.
Live in and live out.
It's lighting so blue wire will actually be to carry live.
Return switch wires are blue.

You've connected up the mirror so it operates, but you have left the earth wires disconnected from each other.
This potentially leaves other parts of the circuit without an earth connection, when it may be needed - can you please put these all together in the earth terminal, even though you are still experimenting.

Thanks for the responses so far. I have popped Earth into a terminal now.

I've used a voltage detector, and it only detects live on the 2 cables (live in and mirror) in the wago. Nothing on what is neutral (blue) or on the brown wires I have found to be for the lights and fan.

Maybe the switch is faulty?

Wires will be dead until the switch is on and live is allowed through to them.
You need to turn power off at fusebox.

You need a tester that has continuity testing. That's a beep when either end of cable is joined through tester.
One end at live in connector at the mirror and find the other end at switch.
Same for fan and light.
Cheap multi meter will have continuity testing.

Switch is not faulty.

I took the cover off the fan.....and in the end, the 'neutral' was a switched live to the timer module in the fan.

All back to normal and working as before. Thank you to all of you who made suggestions, helping me narrow down the issue!

Take care.

NO!

That particular Blue insulated conductor was being used as a "Switched Line"
BUT
had not appropriately been re-designated.

One hopes that you have re-designated it appropriately !
