I want to put up a false ceiling in my bathroom
Just using wood tongue and groove
The stuff I have in mind is thin.
Is this suitable to use with recessed lighting
low votlage or direct mains
Also reading about such lighting
It informs you not to put in certain zone's
Stating zone 3 only
Does this mean not above a bath due to steam and such

Thanks breezer
How about the ceiling itself
Is the thin wood T and G suitable for this

We have thing wood T&G on the bathroom ceiling. Been there 6 years, not had a problem with downlights. ;)

You need to make sure that the fittings are suitable for mounting in or on a combustible surface: If you want to mount fittings into a timber ceiling, they need to be "F" marked. If you want those same fittings in (for example) Zone 2, they need to be suitable for that, too.

Cheers for that boy's
By the way, when you say F marked
What does it stand for.
