Hi - not sure if this is the correct place for this, apologies if it's not.

We've had someone re-doing our bathroom and it's been going really slowly - but that might just be me so I thought I'd check here.

Bathroom is approx 6' x 8' (8' high), one door, two small windows, walls have been plastered, floor latexed, only thing in is the bath (wall to wall at one end), pipes have all been bonded in, there are 2 pipes for the radiator sticking out and two for the sink (neither toilet and sink are in yet - but everything is ready).

So it needed tiling - tiles are ceramic 300 x 600 and 9mm thick and we're having it tiled floor to ceiling.

I wasn't expecting it to take too long - but it's been 3 days and we're only a little over half way there.

How long would you expect this to take?

Thanks,
Kerry

Obviously we can't see the job, but a couple of days for the tiling, and more time for the grouting.
Million dollar question.....are you paying the tiler for the job or by the hour?
John :)

Well it's been 3 days for the tiling now and there was still half of 1 wall to do, where both of the windows are. (and he's fully tilled on wall that we needed to chase some cables into for the lighting...).

Still, I had a little bit of a moan and he said he only did half a day yesterday - so 2.5 days. I still think it could have been done a bit quicker, but I guess it's not the end of the world. Think I'm just getting a bit impatient.

It's a mate doing it and while it's technically on a day rate (which I know is risky), we're clear on the fact that I've only got a certain budget which he's fully aware of.

Think I just need to be patient.
