Hi
I’m renovating this bathroom and wanted some advice as to what best to put on the brick walls prior to having the non bath areas skimmed and the wet area tiled. I’m thinking of dot and dab moisture resistant plasterboard everywhere and tanking the wet areas, if so can the board touch the solid floor or will I need a gap and cover with skirting? I’ve heard of so many variations of Hardibacker, wedi board etc and wasn’t sure what best for a shower above a bath. Obviously all the old tiles will come off and SBR on the brick first

Many thanks

Hardibacker or similar , not seen plasterboard around bath that’s not failed ( tanked or not).
Or consider shower panel , easy and waterproof .
