Batten around edge of flat roof?

Hi all,

Help!!

I've gotten my flat roof as far as the top deck - ready for Epdm... But, am I supposed to fix a batten around edge before fixing epdm? Or just do n the gutter edge? Or not at all?

Youtube is the answer as there are plenty of videos on how to do it. This shows an edge detail situation but there are lots more.
