Battery query

There seems to be a few different batteries on the market for my 18v bosch tools ie premium, heavy duty and coolpack. I would be grateful if someone could explain the difference.

only compatable tools and batteries will fit so be carefull

Thanks big-all I was looking at the power tool world site for 18v batteries and the 2.6ah is listed as heavy duty but the 3 and 4 ah ones are not and I wondered why.

suspect the 2.6 is nicad or nmh which is the maximum going 2 or 3 years ago
where as li-ions now are up to 5 ah so more reserved as i suspect 6/7 or 8ah may be about within 2 or 3 years
