Baumatic BWD12.1 door jammed shut

ANyone had a problem with a Baumatic washer dryer door? It looks like the bit that pulls the latch back on the door is broken. ANy way of opening the door with out it? Whilst not ruining the whole door?

If your machine doesn't have an emergency door release mechanism near the lint filter at the bottom right hand side they you'll have to remove the lid & release it from the inside. Plug out first!
