baxi 80e combi

hi i have a baxi 80e combi have fitted a new fan and presure switch it will ingnite/light with cover off but as soon as i refit the cover will not any ideas please been at it hours now thanks

check the flue for blockage. sounds like it isnt getting combustion air, which it will get with the cover off, but when your seal it again it takes the air from outside.

My idea is you should get a pro in. aps is the safety for the fan, if you get it working by fiddling it, it could well be that you have disabled the safety.

Presumably Possum is not CORGI registered otherwise he would not be encouraging the OP to do something he is not deemed competent to work on!
