We have a baxi 80e boiler, for some time now it has been dripping from the left hand side, i have looked in the manual and it seems to be coming form the 3 way valve assembly. Is there a replacement part that can be fitted to solve the problem.

Many thanks

b.t.w, it seems to leak more at night, i presume this is because the pressure builds up as no taps get used..??...

Watr mains pressure IS more at night. YOU could try turning off the cold water input to the boiler (1/4 turn tap on the pipe where it goes in to the boiler) at night to prove that it's the mains water that's leaking. No single part - there's a bunch of nuts and O rings and washers...

sounds like you need a diaphragm repair kit, is going to be the nut on the presure differential thats leaking, your heating engineer needs to isolate the dhw inlet, and open some taps to relive pressure, he then needs to undo the nut, and replace it, along with the washers.....

How much are the diaphragm kits (do they inc the washers) and where can you get them...
Thanks for the help! ;)

If you order a diaphragm that is all you will get....cant see a perished diaphragm will give you a leak. Get a tissue round it and see if it is coming from the spindle at the front, the o ring on the back or one of the compression nuts on the top where the small pipes join.

the diaphragm kits we use (cant remember the part no.) come with the nut that goes round the pin, 9 times out of 10, it this thats leaking, you can tell if its that, cause you will have water damage on the chassis of the boiler just below.

the waters coming from the front, there is a bolt with a hole in the middle and the drip is coming through there!

Thanks to all. I just got round to what corgigazza suggested, using an o-ring and silicon grease and the problem has been solved.
No more drips!!!!

Thanks again for everyones posts!! ;)
