Please help! Our central heating is causing us a headache (literally!) Hot water is fine, no problems there, but when we put the heating on it sounds as though we are sitting on the tarmac at Heathrow - It does literally sound like an aircraft engine or when water is being sucked down a very large plug-hole. We end up switching it off as we are concerned that it is damaging the boiler. Someone suggested it could be the pump that's failing, but before we throw more money at it does anyone think that this is the cause? We have bled the rads several time as we thought the system had air in it, but has made no difference.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/size
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

seeing as you have bled the rads, have you thought about topping the pressure back up......what dose the presure guage read???

PLEASE don't shout, just because you have a headache.....

If you do a search on Baxi Bahamas on this site you may find that they tend to have problems of this sort. You should also find some tips on what you night do about it.

Thanks for the replies, the pressure is fine, it's between 1 and 2, and I have stopped shouting now, sorry if I caused you to have a headache too! Any other advice greatly appreciated......

only thing i can think of thats differant for the boiler when its in heating mode as its not doing it in hot water mode is the diverter valve moves so perhaps its that causing the noise  its the grey square plastic thing might be the cartridge knackered

New problem, the rads have been bled so much trying to get all the air out, the square nuts on the bleed off valves have rounded so much that the rad key no longer undoes them! I think that the system is still airlocked as the noises are still present but I can't undo the bleed valves, especially on the highest rad!! Any ideas...................
